Antara’s unfailing commitment towards the safety of communities during COVID-19

With the COVID-19 pandemic showing no signs of retreat any time soon, there is nothing more important right now than living in a place that takes your health and safety as seriously as you do. Ensuring this is even more important for seniors in your family.

The scale of the crisis we are witnessing right now is truly unprecedented, and it is natural to feel fear, anxiety, and have feelings of uncertainty. This has also necessitated that we, at Antara Senior Living, remain proactive throughout this time. We have been continuously following official health guidelines, implementing protocols that keep our entire community healthy and safe, and regularly communicating updates to residents, their families and our staff.

The safety of our community has always been our top priority, and here are some of the protocols that we have been following to ensure the well-being of everyone around us –

Continuous support and monitoring

Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have had a dedicated team of experts available 24×7 to provide all necessary support and care to seniors living in our residences. Through astute planning, we have been able to continuously monitor the health of our residents and staff, while adhering to all safety guidelines. With a team of experts, we are helping with arrangements for conducting COVID-19 testing, whenever needed, to ensure safety for our residents and staff members.

Enforcing mask-wearing and social distancing

Research continues to show that mask wearing is critical to fighting the spread of COVID-19, and we understand its importance, too. At Antara Dehradun, we have advised all our residents as well as our staff to follow these basic COVID-19 protocols to break the transmission chain of the disease. This includes mandating that all residents & team members walk inside the community after wearing masks properly and maintain social distance at all times.

Frequent sanitization

As a stated process, all key touch points at the Antara Club, such as door handles, restrooms, and elevators, are sanitized every two hours. According to government guidelines, we are also currently only allowing home deliveries of food to residents’ apartments, which ensures minimal exposure to other people.

Limited activities

We have changed the engagement mode of our residents from physical to virtual mode. We have requested all the club members not to visit the community till further notice, and have suspended use of the gym, steam, sauna and other facilities in accordance with COVID-19 government protocols. Not just that, we have also requested residents not to socialize outside or within the apartment, so as to minimize the risk of infection spread.

Enhanced safety measures

At Antara, we have nurses and General Duty Assistants, geared in PPE kits, who are working round the clock to provide daily care for residents. Our team of doctors is also in touch with residents daily to monitor their health. Along with these measures, our team at Antara is also working in a Bio-bubble, with 90 members staying inside the community to run day-to-day operations for residents, and ensure hassle-free living.
